Turbo Totes is a moving tote rental service based in Roanoke, VA. Instead of buying cardboard boxes, you rent sturdy plastic totes from us. We deliver them before your move and pick them up after. It's simpler, less wasteful, and often cheaper than buying boxes.

Every rental includes the totes, delivery to your home, and pickup on your scheduled date. A dolly is included with the 2-bedroom and larger packages to make load-in and load-out easier on your back, and can be added to a Studio/1BR rental. Prices are shown before tax.

Standard rentals are 2 weeks or 3 weeks long enough to move out, move in, and get fully unpacked without rushing. There's no 1-week option. If you need more time, 4-week rentals are available, so contact us for more information.

Everything is booked online. Head to the booking page, choose your rental dates, then pick the package that fits your home. You'll enter your delivery and pickup addresses at checkout. We review every order and send a payment request before your delivery date, so nothing is charged when you reserve.

Pricing is based on home size, for a 2-week rental: Studio/1-bedroom is $175, 2-bedroom is $225, 3-bedroom is $275, and 4+ bedroom is $325. Delivery, pickup and a dolly are included with every package. Prices are shown before Virginia sales tax, which is calculated at checkout. No surprise fees.

No upfront deposit. We keep a card on file and only charge if needed. Totes returned dirty are subject to a $5 per tote cleaning fee. Damaged or lost totes are $25 per tote. Most customers pay nothing beyond their rental fee. Just wipe out your totes before pickup, and you're all set. Full details are in the rental agreement at checkout.

Yes! We work with local Roanoke realtors and property managers who offer Turbo Totes discount codes to their clients. Ask your real estate agent. We also have occasional promotions. The best way to hear about them first is to join our list or follow us on Facebook!

Yes! You can add moving and packing supplies to your order bubble wrap, packing paper, dish and glass packing kits, mattress bags, stretch wrap, foam pouches, vacuum bags, and more. We also rent padded TV boxes. Everything is delivered right alongside your totes, so there's no extra trip to the store. Ask about our Fragile Pack, Kitchen Pack, and Bedroom Pack bundles to save.

Single-tote rentals, small quantities, and short-term rentals are available by request these aren't booked online like our packages. Just reach out and we'll set up a custom quote that fits exactly what you're moving.

We deliver your totes on your chosen delivery date between 6:00 AM – 9:00 AM EST, typically stacked at your front door or a ground-floor location. You'll receive email (and SMS once available) notifications, so you know when to expect us. Pickup is on the final day of your rental between 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM EST. Just wipe out your totes and stack them in an easy-to-grab spot before we arrive. .

For delivery, we can leave the totes at your door just let us know a safe spot. For pickup, the totes need to be accessible and empty. We'll confirm the details when you book.

Delivery and pickup are free throughout the Roanoke Valley:; Roanoke, Salem, Vinton, Bonsack, Mount Pleasant, Cave Spring, Blue Ridge, Hollins, Troutville, Cloverdale, Daleville, Glenvar, Fincastle and Bent Mountain. That applies to both addresses, so a move from anywhere on that list to anywhere else on it costs nothing extra.

A $40 fee applies if one of your two addresses is in Bedford, Catawba or Moneta, or $75 if both are. Anywhere else, get in touch and we'll quote it.

Sometimes. Extensions are offered by the week, subject to availability, and must be requested by 11:59 PM on the third day of your rental.

We have a limited number of totes, and once a rental is underway those totes are usually already promised to the next customer so we can't always say yes, and we can't hold them without an approved extension. If you think you might need extra time, tell us early.

If something changes later in your rental, reach out anyway; an approved extension always costs less than the late fee. Rates start at $85 per week depending on your package.

Totes kept past your scheduled pickup date without an approved extension are billed at $50 per day.

We use XL attach-lid totes large enough for most household items, with lids that snap on securely. Uniform sizing means they stack cleanly and stably, both in your home and in a moving truck. 27x17x12

Yes all totes are cleaned between every rental. We're not in the business of handing you a grimy bin.

Normal wear and tear is expected and covered. Significant damage, including cracked lids and broken hinges from misuse, is charged at $25 per tote to the card on file. There is no security deposit, and we'll always be upfront about any charges before they happen.

Yes, meaningfully so. Each cardboard box is used once and ends up in recycling or the landfill. Our totes are used dozens of times over their life. It's not the main reason people rent from us, but it's a real benefit every time.
